Certificate Course
Human Factors and fundamentals of protection against illegal drone flights for organisations and facilities
This course builds the foundation for an effective protection and reaction program against illegal drone flights by covering the human, organizational, and legal aspects of infrastructure security with appropriate processes and measures.
While technical solutions are increasingly available, humans remain crucial for effective protection, ranging from detection and recognition to appropriate action and countermeasures.
The course focuses on human factors, training, and decision-making skills in critical situations involving rogue drone flights and threats posed by small Unmanned Aircraft Systems of all kinds. Security personnel and infrastructure operators gain the necessary understanding of legal and procedural aspects to respond to drone threats in a legally compliant manner.
One learning outcome of this course is also Counter UAS literacy: Participants learn to understand and evaluate performance and requirements to make informed decisions about detection and defence systems, both in operation and procurement.
