The DroneMasters Academy, founded in 2017, combines drone technology with digital education and the basic principles of science, and fosters an interest in technology in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and maths). With a wide range of courses for children, teenagers and adults, the DroneMasters Academy opens up low-threshold access to future technologies and thus helps to strengthen the skilled workforce of tomorrow.

The legal requirements arise from the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG), in particular § 14 in conjunction with § 3 (1) BFSG, with reference to the Ordinance on the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG).

We endeavour to design our website to be accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at level AA, in order to ensure that our services are accessible to everyone. Some content may not yet be fully accessible. With all future updates and further development, care is taken to meet the accessibility standards of WCAG 2.1.

The measures include:

Access and security: Our identification, authentication, security and payment functions are designed to be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for all users. This includes user-friendly login methods and secure payment processes.

Functional performance criteria: We provide various forms of operation which ensure that our products and services can also be used by users with physical, sensory or cognitive impairments.

These include:

• Visual alternatives: All content is accessible without having to distinguish colours, and text alternatives are available for users with impaired vision.
• Auditory alternatives: Our functions do not require hearing and offer enhanced audio capabilities for users with hearing impairments.
• Manual interaction options: Our digital content can be used without fine motor control and without significant hand strength.
• Protection against visual stimuli: We avoid visual stimulation that could trigger photosensitive seizures.
• Support for cognitive impairments: We make sure that functions supporting cognitive impairments are provided, in order to make use as simple as possible.
• Privacy when using accessibility features: All accessibility features we use safeguard the privacy of our users.
• Through regular reviews and adjustments we ensure that our digital services meet the legal requirements and are continuously improved, in order to guarantee a high level of accessibility and security for all users.
