As a certified DroneMasters Academy trainer, you use drones and creative competitions to inspire people of all ages for new technologies, programming, mechanical engineering, sustainability and STEM. And the best part is that you can earn an (additional) income with us or with our international partners. We will even support you in building up your own DroneMasters Academy near you.

Our compulsory DroneMasters Academy Train The Trainer (TTT) Junior Seminar qualifies you to run our authorised courses and workshops for children and young talents independently, either with us or with a partner organisation. Our detailed curriculum covers many new technology areas from electric mobility to 3D printing and prepares you for the challenges of the future. As a certified DroneMasters Academy trainer, you become part of a global community of pioneers.

DRONEMASTERS ACADEMY TRAIN THE TRAINER (TTT) JUNIOR SEMINAR

The compulsory programme for running DroneMasters Academy Junior courses

 

Seminar overview:

The "Train the Trainer" (TTT) Junior Seminar is a dynamic three-day programme for drone enthusiasts, educators and teachers who are interested in running DroneMasters Academy Junior courses. This comprehensive seminar gives participants the skills, knowledge and resources they need to offer children and young talents engaging and safe drone activities. The seminar aims to enable trainers to inspire young people, to promote STEM education and to awaken enthusiasm for new technologies.

Successful completion of the seminar is a prerequisite for running DroneMasters Academy Junior courses. All DroneMasters Academy trainers must complete this programme.

 

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm for working with children and young talents to promote STEM skills.
  • A basic understanding of drone technology (no previous teaching experience required).
  • Access to a computer with an internet connection (for online resources).
  • Compliance with local regulations on the use and safety of drones.
  • Proof of an enhanced criminal record certificate (required for working with children and young people).
  • Proof of a first aid course for children (not older than one year).
  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • A good command of English (if the seminar is held in English).

 

What to expect:

Day 1: The DroneMasters Academy programme for kids & young talents

  • Introduction to the DroneMasters Academy curriculum and its training objectives.
  • The importance of STEM skills and drone technology for children and young talents.
  • Pedagogical approaches to teaching drone technology to children.
  • Safety protocols and guidelines for drone activities.
  • Getting to know the different types of drone that are suitable for different age groups.

 

Day 2: Applying the curriculum and practical exercises

  • Using the DroneMasters Academy curriculum to offer tailored formats for children and young talents according to age and ability.
  • Practical experience with the maintenance and programming of drones.
  • Planning lesson units and creating interactive drone activities.
  • Taking safety concerns and risk management into account.
  • Introduction to drone-related competitions and challenges for children.

 

Day 3: Inspiring with drones, sharing knowledge and fostering creativity

  • Becoming aware of your own attitude and role as a trainer.
  • Fostering creativity and problem solving through drone projects.
  • Recognising different learning types and individual motivation, reducing anxieties and difficulties in learning.
  • Techniques for maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Strategies for assessment and for constructive feedback for young drone enthusiasts.
  • Dealing with difficult situations: recognising and making use of conflicts and their potential and dynamics.
  • Resources for keeping up to date with advances in drone technology.
  • Introduction to the DroneMasters Academy community.

 

Key seminar objectives:

  • Sound knowledge of drone technology and its applications.
  • Confidence in working with the DroneMasters Academy curriculum.
  • Practical experience in using, programming and flying drones.
  • Strategies for teaching and safety.
  • Integration into the worldwide community of DroneMasters Academy trainers.

 

Certification:

On completion of the DroneMasters Academy Train the Trainer (TTT) Junior Seminar participants receive a "Certified DroneMasters Academy Trainer" certificate, which confirms their competence and qualification to run DroneMasters Academy Junior programmes.

 

Comprehensive support:

Participants receive intensive guidance and continue to be supported while they are working as trainers. The DroneMasters Academy makes it possible to apply and practise what you have learned in a regular DroneMasters Academy course. You are accompanied by experienced DroneMasters Academy trainers and can gain practical experience before you start your first course of your own.

 

Investment:

The seminar costs 1,750 EUR (incl. VAT) per person. This includes food and drinks during the seminar. Travel and accommodation are not included.

Successful completion of the DroneMasters Academy "Train the Trainer" (TTT) Junior Seminar and the certificate that goes with it qualify and entitle you to run DroneMasters Academy Junior courses (independently) on behalf of DroneMasters Academy GmbH, its subsidiaries and its international licence partners. They do not include any rights to the internationally protected trade mark, to the learning content and materials or to the concepts of the DroneMasters Academy in any form.
