The questions we are asked most often about registration, courses and seminars. If yours is not among them, get in touch – you will find all the ways to reach us at the bottom of this page.

You book and pay online right after registering. Once you have submitted the registration form you are taken to the payment page, where you choose how to pay: credit card, Klarna, PayPal, bank transfer or Google Pay. Payments are handled by our payment provider Mollie. You will receive the invoice automatically by e-mail.

For our drone protection seminars we offer companies, public authorities and institutions the option to pay by invoice. Simply select that payment method when registering and enter your company or authority details. You will receive the invoice together with the booking confirmation by e-mail.

Holiday and leisure courses cannot be paid by invoice – these are paid online at the time of booking.

If you cancel the payment or it does not go through, your place stays reserved for one hour and is then released automatically. In that case simply register again or write to us at hello@dronemasters.academy.

For holiday and leisure courses you register each person individually – that way we can record the details for every child in full.

For our drone protection seminars a group booking is possible: simply enter the number of participants and their names in the registration form.

If you have a discount or partner code, you can enter it in the „Voucher" field when booking. The discount is shown to you straight away.

Yes. Just tick the gift option when booking – we will then issue you a PDF voucher to print out and give as a present.

If a problem occurs or keeps occurring, contact us directly at hello@dronemasters.academy. We will help you and, if needed, hold a place for you.

If your child falls ill and you provide us with a medical certificate, we refund the course fee. The same applies if we cancel a course.

Either way, please get in touch as early as you can at hello@dronemasters.academy – we will find a solution together.

If the date no longer works for you, we are happy to issue a voucher that you can redeem for another course. Just write to us in good time at hello@dronemasters.academy.

If not enough people register for a workshop, we reserve the right to postpone it. In that case we refund the course fee in full.

Cancellations must always be made in writing. The following deadlines apply:

• Up to six weeks before the seminar starts: free of charge
• Up to four weeks before the seminar starts: 30 % of the course fee
• From two weeks before the seminar starts, and in case of no-show: the full course fee

You can nominate a replacement participant at any time up to the start of the seminar.

Our holiday courses are aimed at children and young people between 10 and 15 years of age. For the copter building course you should be at least 16. The age group is always stated in the course description.

The workshop programme usually runs from 10:00 to 16:00 each day. Supervision is provided from 09:30 to 17:00. Times can differ at individual sites – the exact times are on the relevant location page and in your booking confirmation.

We deliberately work in small groups. On courses for children and young people there is at least one trainer for every eight participants – and often a good deal more, depending on the venue and the group size. You can see how many places a date has when you book.

That depends on the site. On most courses you bring your own lunch; we provide drinks. At individual sites – in Frankfurt, for example – lunch and drinks are included in the price, and you may not bring your own food there. What applies to your course is stated on the location page and in your booking confirmation.

There is no note-taking with us. Bring your lunch, a labelled water bottle, clothing suitable for the weather – part of the workshop takes place outdoors – and plenty of curiosity. Drones, computers and all other materials are provided by us.

None for the beginners' courses. All you need is an interest in the subject and a willingness to work together in a group. The advanced courses require you to have attended a beginners' course.

You decide that when registering: you tell us whether your child may make their own way home or will be collected. Without your consent we do not let any child go home alone.

That is up to you. When registering you choose whether photos of your child may not be used at all, only as group shots, or individually as well. You can change that decision at any time – just let us know.

We immediately notify the emergency contact you gave us when registering and, if necessary, the emergency services. Please give us a number on which we can reach you during the course.

We are present in six regions: Berlin, Hamburg, Saxony (Dresden), North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria (Munich) and Frankfurt am Main. We have permanent course venues in Berlin and Hamburg. All in-house formats – school programmes, team events and counter-drone seminars – can be booked throughout Germany. You will find an overview on the Locations page.

Yes. We run the robotics club, school trips and teacher training at schools and other institutions throughout Germany. We bring all the equipment and teaching materials with us. The robotics club is limited to 16 pupils, and teacher training requires a minimum of six participants.

We need a room of around 50 m² or more. We are happy to clarify everything else in an initial conversation, with no obligation.

Yes. Participants in our holiday courses receive the DroneMasters Academy certificate on the last day of the course. Teachers receive a certificate confirming their participation on successful completion.

We train staff to recognise unmanned systems, assess situations and initiate measures on a sound legal basis. The programme has three levels:

• Drone Protection Briefing (DMA), online – basic protection for all staff: a live webinar with a final test and digital proof of completion.
• Training as a Drone Protection Officer (DMA) – two days on site with a final test, optionally with a focus on critical infrastructure or on maritime security.
• In-house courses and block seminars – tailored to your site and your organisation.

At security managers, operators of critical infrastructure, works security, IT and facility management, data centre managers, operators of industrial plants, providers of site and property protection services, and public authorities and organisations with security responsibilities. The maritime focus additionally addresses port authorities, terminal operators and ISPS officers.

The training concludes with a certificate of participation from the DroneMasters Academy, documenting the knowledge taught on legal foundations, risk assessment, human factors and the ability to act.

The online briefing concludes with the bilingual record „Drone Protection Briefing (DMA)" – with a personal register number and QR code, digitally verifiable in the DroneMasters register and valid for twelve months.

Up to 20 places are available per date. Group bookings for several people are possible – enter the number and the names of the participants in the registration form.

Yes. All seminars can also be booked as in-house training at your site, tailored to your organisation, anywhere in Germany. The two-day training is also available as a one-day compact version.

We run the courses together with partners: in Berlin with the VfS AKADEMIE, in Cologne with BHO Legal, in Munich with bavAIRia e.V. and in Hamburg with ma-co maritimes competenzcentrum GmbH.

No. Private operators have no legal power to actively counter drones. Responsibility lies with the state police forces, and with the federal police for railway facilities and airports. What you can and must do: recognise, document, report and involve the right authorities – and that is exactly what we qualify your staff for.
