The DroneMasters Academy gives children, teenagers and adults the chance to experience drone technology at first hand and to dive into the exciting technologies of tomorrow. In formats ranging from workshops and holiday courses to leisure activities, participants learn to fly a variety of drone systems and pick up the basics of programming, science and engineering.
Since 2017 more than 7,000 people have taken part in DroneMasters Academy workshops.
The DroneMasters Academy Saxony runs a range of courses, events and certification programmes across Saxony.

Holiday fun with drones!
The holiday courses run by the DroneMasters Academy open up the fascinating world of drones and flying robotics in a playful way. The four- and five-day workshops offer plenty of fun flying and coding, and provide a unique introduction to new technologies and future careers.
Age group: 10–15 years
The workshop programme runs from 10:00 to 16:00. Supervision is provided from 09:00 to 17:00.
The holiday courses aim to get children and young people excited about new technologies through drones. They become familiar with the physics of flight, get to know how drones are built and how they work, and fly their own race at the end. Throughout the workshop, our juniors are encouraged to contribute their own ideas and solutions. We place particular emphasis on building technical skills and on understanding how simple electronic circuits work. The courses cover important areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), taught in a playful and age-appropriate way.

Our young pilots get to discover and build on their drone flying skills, supported by experienced trainers in a safe and entertaining setting.
During the programme the children gain an exciting insight into future technologies and learn how drones are used in fields such as science, transport, environmental protection and film production. This not only develops their skills in handling drones but also sparks their curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and innovation.

The team-building events run by the DroneMasters make innovation tangible. Our different formats create a digital and technological setting that opens up space for new ideas and new ways of working. At the same time we show what drone technology can do and where it is heading — and help you find your way into this new market.
Participants get to try out various drone systems and gain background knowledge about the technology and its development. Hands-on experience with this innovative technology creates a real lightbulb moment about future applications and benefits.

We offer attractive holiday courses with engaging daytime care for your employees’ children — and relief for their parents.
The courses can take place at our premises or at your site. All we need is a room of around 50 m²; a quieter lobby can also work well. We are happy to share further details in a no-obligation quote and/or an initial conversation.

DRONEMASTERS ACADEMY courses: an insight into technology with fun and team spirit — recruiting rethought
You will find our engaging, technology-focused courses with small drones in and around Dresden for your team event here.
This section is aimed at companies and sets out a way to connect with teenagers and young adults while creating ideal conditions for modern recruiting.
Our offering ranges from flying sessions and building workshops through to holiday care and support at trade fair stands. We can run our courses in a modern, centrally located concept store, at your company or in schools. While we do, you can promote your company and, for example, announce and present current vacancies.
We are currently looking for a space of around 100 m² for our courses and cooperation with companies.

With drones — and an understanding of how they work — the DroneMasters Academy now wants to inspire young people in Saxony too. Holiday courses and day courses centred on these small quadcopters are planned, with the aim of gaining a deeper insight into microelectronics. And the fun should not fall by the wayside: alongside knowledge about the technology, aerodynamics and programming, the DroneMasters also design exciting courses that participants can fly for their parents at the end of a course week.
There are also plans to open a central concept store that can serve companies from the microelectronics sector as well. Workshops and open courses are to be offered there, ideally near one of the larger transport hubs where many young people pass through every day. The aim is to create a hub that young people visit regularly and where companies can promote themselves directly. Collaborations are welcome — from logo placement and the (active and passive) promotion of vacancies through to your own company event with drones and plenty of fun in a start-up atmosphere.

Who is actually behind this Drone Racing
DroneMasters Saxony was founded in 2024 by Marcus Lieder, with the support of the DroneMasters in Berlin and Anne Klein.
We love working with people, are always open to new ideas and have been involved with drones for some time. “In Saxony we want to offer courses that are not only fun but also accessible to people on low incomes. With a good helping of high spirits and a joy of discovery, we want to provide an easy, engaging way into the world of technology and programming.” The first taster courses took place in summer 2024, and since February 2025 there have been regular holiday courses — with the first junior trainers now recruited.

The DroneMasters Academy combines a fascination with drones and an enthusiasm for new technologies. Join our team of technology enthusiasts and help drive sustainable mobility forward.
As a certified DroneMasters Academy trainer you use drones and creative competitions to inspire people of all ages about new technologies, programming, mechanical engineering, sustainability and STEM. Best of all, you can earn an (additional) income with us or with our international partners. We will even support you in setting up your own DroneMasters Academy near you.
Our compulsory DroneMasters Academy Train the Trainer (TTT) Junior seminar qualifies you to run our authorised courses and workshops for children and young talents independently, either with us or with a partner organisation. Our detailed curriculum covers many new technology areas, from electric mobility to 3D printing, and prepares you for the challenges ahead. As a certified DroneMasters Academy trainer you become part of a global community of pioneers.

About the founders
Marcus: Anne is a wonderful and delightfully quirky colleague. You can laugh warmly with her and be just as focused and productive. She also always has an open ear at the right moment, including for personal matters. The past three years have produced a great many good ideas and creative processes.
Anne: Marcus is always interested in something new. I only ever know him with some piece of technology in his hand that needs trying out. I also appreciate that he always has an open ear for current problems and personal matters alike. A little crazy at times and highly rational at the same time, he never loses sight of the project as a whole or of the people involved.
