The 1-day in-house course is aimed at public authorities and organisations that have to act quickly, in a coordinated manner and on a sound legal basis when drone events occur – regardless of whether detection or protection technology is already in place. The focus is on operational capability during an incident: how does an initial sighting become a reliable situation picture? Which information has to be recorded, and how is it passed on? Which roles and responsibilities need to be clarified so that decisions work under time pressure?

Participants develop workable reporting and escalation channels, a structured situation assessment and a clear decision-making logic for the first minutes of an incident. In addition, the relevant legal framework is covered (including proportionality, documentation, data protection and interfaces with external bodies). Particular attention is given to Human Factors: perception, communication and decision-making behaviour under stress – typical sources of error and concrete measures to reduce false alarms, parallel communication and uncertainty in incident command.
